Roger Cotterrell has been a Trustee since 2015. He has maintained a life-long involvement with jazz alongside a career outside music as a university professor.
As an academic he has published many books on legal and social theory and is a Fellow of both the British Academy and the Academy of Social Sciences.
In jazz, he has written extensively for specialist magazines in the UK and abroad and been consultant editor for the jazz book publisher Northway. He co-wrote Bass Lines: A Life in Jazz with Coleridge Goode, edited bandleader Harry Gold’s memoirs, and compiled Jazz Now: The Jazz Centre Society Guide.
Roger has been involved for many years with jazz promotion in Leicester and London, and has broadcast and lectured on jazz.
