Ruth Fisher

Ruth Fisher has been a trustee of the National Jazz Archive since 2023. She is a leading jazz radio presenter with over 20 years of experience both in the UK and overseas. Joining JazzFM in 2016, Ruth currently curates and presents two weekly programmes Full Circle on Saturday nights and The Performance Series on Monday nights.
Ruth comes from a musical family and was one of the first pupils to attend the Purcell School of Music, in Bushey, England. During her time as a presenter she has interviewed over 200 musicians, which has included being the first person in the UK to interview Gregory Porter and Jazzmeia Horn.
Ruth is part of the Programming Committee for the Watford Jazz Junction Festival and the Cambridge Jazz Festival. She is also a consultant for the Red Sea Jazz Festival and Development Consultant for the Israel Philharmonic.
