Liz Lincoln
Trained in ballet and tap, Torquay-raised Liz Lincoln lived in and toured Sweden and London, as a dancer and jazz singer, before settling in Southend. Music endured as a ‘controlling force’ as she went on to found the British Jazz Foundation and become a festival and concert promoter at the Royal Pavilion and Park Inn Palace venues. Her current vision is to help secure big acts and ‘fine jazz’ at Southend. Preserving the music she loves for younger generations for the ‘very musical’ East of England region is the ultimate aim.
