Page 1 has the contents of the issue and the editorial, which warns of the adverse effect on the reputation of jazz musicians in general of members of bands being unable to perform due to the effects of excess alcohol. On a more positive note the upcoming tours by Duke Ellington's and Woody Herman's bands are anticipated.
