Gareth SurgeyGareth is from Kirkcaldy (Fife) and is a self-taught photographer. In 2019 he started volunteering with Langtoun Jazz (Kirkcaldy) and has since become the unofficial photographer for the group. His current areas of interest are social documentary (street photography/ live events), in particular recording local events and people doing their thing.

As a photographer he operates under the pseudonym of Flâneur Photographic. He cites his main sources of inspiration (in no particular order) as coming from Robert Frank, Garry Winogrand, Don McCullin, Diane Arbus, and Vivian Maier. With a special mention for Lawrence Watson and Alan John Ainsworth who have given him great advice and support in pursuit of excellence in photography.
