Pages 10-11 of Crescendo, November 1962, Vol.1, No.4. Benny Green suggests the musicians who, in his view, have had the biggest influence on the evolution of jazz. He bases his selection on who influences his whistling of tunes, arriving at a list comprising Louis Armstrong, Benny Goodman, Lester Young, Charlie Parker and Duke Ellington. An advert for the Lowrey Holiday Deluxe organ appears on page 10.
