- A Festival of Jazz event took place at the Winter Garden Theatre, Dury Lane, London in conjunction with The London Jazz Club. The performing musicians were Freddy Randall and his Band, The Yorkshire Jazz Band, Rex Harris presents the History of Jazz illustrated by Humphrey Lyttelton and his Band, Mick Gill and his Imperial Jazz Band, Joan and Ted Roberts, Humphrey Lyttelton and his Band, Mac McCoombe accompanied by George Webb, Neville Skrimshire, Les Rawlings and Dave Carey.
