  • Description
  • personal letter. Hawkins has just arrived in the Hague after a six and a half hour journey from Paris. His train stopped off in Brussels - he mentions that Renee represents 'the Hot Club, Brussels'. He's tried to get a recording of 'Lullaby' but it hadn't arrived in Paris - nor did the shop have the Parlophone catalogue yet. He'd visited Selmer's yesterday and met 'the old man' (Paul Lefevre ?) and 'his son Maurice' (Maurice Lefevre ?). They want to 'make a new horn up special for me. Quite nice people.',,
Subject notes (people): Paul Lefevre (referred to as 'the old man'); Maurice Lefevre (son of Paul). Subject notes (places): Paris; Brussels, Belgium. Subject notes (recordings & songs): 'Lullaby'.,
