  • Hawkins has been very busy and is just returned from Basel. He had intended to be in London but things didn't happen - he'll be there eventually. A friend had written to him saying she'd been down to London to see Benny Carter. He asks Renee to write to T. H. Ward of Associated Copyrights Ltd.(on Gerreard 1601) and ask why Hawkins hasn't received his recording royalties. Hawkins had written to Ward but hasn't had an answer. Hawkins thinks everyone knows more about his planned trip to London than he does. He made a recording of 'love cries' in Zurich for Parlophone but he doesn't 'know how it willl be as i don't think they know so much about recording in Zurich'. He hopes it's good as he made it for Renee.,,
