  • Letter written on 'the national holiday of Norway's Independence'. Hawkins likes 'Oslo an awful lot' - 'really a marvellous place and the surrounding countryside is so grand, I think I could live here for quite some time.' Zita has indicated to Renee Gertler that Hawkins has written to her (Zita) but that's not so and Hawkins hates anyone telling untruths about him. the girl from Stockholm followed him to Copenhagen and professed to be in love with him but he said he was in love with (an unidentified) woman in England and they were going to be married. He wanted André Aché's address as he wants to find out about a concert in Brussels and he hasn't heard from anyone there. He asks for an opinion as to whether André Aché is 'alright'.,,
