Armstrong points out that the rumour that he's dead is untrue and he hasn't even been ill. He's been resting with his family in Chicago - he and Alpha go to shows and they love the movies. He's glad Sadie and Renee liked his recording of 'Hobo' and he'll do some more recordings soon. He'll be leaving Chicago for the South 'real soon'. This will enable him to see his sister (Beatrice Donald) in New Orleans. This will be the first time they've met in ten years - 'since mother died'. They'll be in New Orleans about four weeks after opening in Des Moines on 29 April. he's still using his little Selmer trumpet.,,
Subject notes (places): Des Moines, Iowa; New Orleans; Florida; Chicago; New York; Los Angeles; London (UK). Subject notes (people): 'Alpha' (Smith); Beatrice Donald (Armstrong's sister). Subject notes (recordings & songs): 'Hobo'.,
