Letter asking about Renee's health and wishing her a speedy recovery. Refers to his trumpet as 'little Satchmo'. Alpha played a song and dance role in a small movie shot with Louis and the Band in Copenhagen. Alpha referred to as Mrs. Armstrong. He'll never forget the Scandanavian tour - it was 'real nice'. He was presented with a small Swedish flag in Stockholm. he played for a dance in newcastle and the hall was packed - he told 'little Satchmo to 'Swing Brother'. And believe me he did.' His band is improving greatly - he's rehearsing them a lot. Percy Brook, of Melody Maker, and Benny Davis, of the 'Selmer Satchmo Trumpet' paid a flying visit by train to see Louis in Newcastle. He's playing Edinburgh next week. He heard the Ambrose Orchestra broadcasting from a little town in Holland last Saturday and 'It was marvellous indeed' - especially the drummer Max Bacon. He's Playing the Empire Theatre (Edinburgh) the week of the 27th and the Chelsea Theatre the week of the 4th.,,
