  • Very personal letter. Hawkins saw Louis and Alfa [sic] again and Louis is off to Ital on Sunday. hawkins thinks Paris is the most beautiful city. He's enjoying the Gaumont palace much better than the Rex - there are only two shows a day most of the week. The audiences are also lovely - 'These hot fans are solid ready'. There's a young French tenor player they call 'little 'Hawk' - and he's not bad, but he cries every time he hears Hawkins play.,,
