  • Hawkins is pleased Renee heard his last broadcast, particularly the numbers he wrote for her. He'll be doing another broadcast soon but Renee won't be able to hear it as it's intended for the Dutch East Indies - Hawkins isn't sure what it'll be like 'playing to an unknown public in an unknown land'. Hawkins is glad Renee likes 'the number 'Devotion', I wrote it especially for you and I, as we like the minor chords best'. He talks about having a musical child with Renee. He has another concert in Utrecht on 2nd November (1935).,,
