Celebrating Lady Day – Lily Dior Sings Billie Holiday

Poster of Stardust Memories event

The next fundraising concert for the National Jazz Archive will be given by Lily Dior on Saturday 4 March in Loughton, Essex.

Equally at home singing jazz, soul and blues, Lily Dior was first recognised at a very young age performing her own self-written show about Billie Holiday. Winner of countless Australian jazz awards and a long-standing regular radio presenter in Sydney, and now successfully selling-out gigs in the London Jazz Festival and the likes of The 606 Club, Ronnie Scott’s and Pizza Express, Lily Dior has fast become one of the UK’s most in-demand vocalists.

She will be joined by versatile pianist Eriko Ishihara, the beautifully crafted alto lines of Allison Neale, one of the UK’s busiest bassists Amy Baldwin, and drummer and Latin percussionist Michèle Drees.

The fundraising concert is at Loughton Methodist Church, 260 High Road, Loughton, Essex, IG10 1RB. Doors open at 1.30pm with the concert starting at 2.30pm.
