A huge thank you from the National Jazz Archive to everyone who donated in response to our email appeal in December 2020. Including Gift Aid, we have so far received donations in excess of £3,500 via the Charities Aid Foundation (CAF).
Thanks to the generosity of our supporters, this will go some way to compensate for the loss of income from cancelled fundraising concerts (due to the safety constraints resulting from the COVID-19 pandemic). With this income, and other sources including record and CD sales, plus second-hand specialist jazz books, we will be able to progress the recording, preserving, and digital access to a number of exciting collections.
It is hoped we will be able to hold fundraising concerts again later this year, but we currently expect this wont be possible until the second half of 2021.
