Newsletter No 1 for 2021
Posted on 13th Feb 2021 by John Rosie
Welcome to our first e-newsletter of 2021. We're looking forward to the year with renewed vigour and are especially excited by the prospect of fundraising concerts being possible later this year.
We have yet more selections for jazz enthusiasts from our popular secondhand book sale. For those wanting to understand more of what we've been doing there's a report of the ongoing work from our Project Manager, Angela Davies.
As a reminder, Heritage Images provide jazz images that can be used for a variety of uses such as the Buddy Rich jigsaw example featured in the image above. Within the e-newsletter you can find details as to how to buy these online.
We're also keen to know what you want to see on our website and social media channels. Using the email link provided in the e-newsletter, you can get in touch and let us know what you think about the website and any suggestions you may have.
There's background about jazz guitarist and banjo player Louis Lince, including a link to a video of Louis from 2018. His widow kindly donated items for the archive from Louis' collection following his death in February 2020.
There's also tales of jazz trumpeter Billy Butterfield, whose daughter contacted the archive for information about her father, plus the popular Seen and heard elsewhere section, with links to concerts we think you'll enjoy.
