Martin Astell has been a Trustee of the National Jazz Archive since April 2021. He is Manager of Essex Record Office and qualified as an archivist in 1997 with a Master’s Degree in Archives and Records Management from University College London. Martin has worked with archives at The National Gallery, Westminster College, Oxford (now merged with Oxford Brookes University) and Essex Record Office. He previously specialised in audio-visual archives and, before becoming the Essex Record Office Manager, was responsible for the Essex Sound and Video Archive. In his spare time Martin creates songs and has an interest in a wide range of music. |
