Darius Brubeck Quartet on stage in a line at the end of their performanceWelcome to our seventh e-newsletter of 2021 with news for our followers and lovers of all things jazz.  Sign up to automatically receive our free monthly emails with news about the Archive.

We have a review of our first fundraising concert of 2021 by the Darius Brubeck quartet, which was held earlier this month. There are also details of our next concert, to be performed by the James Pearson trio on the 6th November in Loughton.

You can now buy your tickets for the James Pearson concert online for what is sure to be a great afternoon of jazz, supplemented with entertaining stories about one of the great writers of the American Songbook: Cole Porter.

In this month's newsletter you can read about our latest book sale, plus our newest collection of iconic Arts Council jazz posters from the 1970s. This includes an interview with one of the poster's designers, Bob Linney, who worked on the prints with Ken Meharg.

There's also help for all of you who follow us on Facebook and would like to add us to your list of favourites.

We hope you enjoy catching up with our news. If you've got a jazz memory you'd like to share with us, get in touch.  We'd love to hear from you.
