Pink and blue graphical image of the singer Amy WinehouseWelcome to our eighth e-newsletter of 2021 with news for our followers and lovers of all things jazz. Don't forget to sign up to automatically receive our free monthly emails with news about the Archive.

With lots of news stories this month its a bumper edition. We're excited to be helping the Guildhall School of Music in London in their promotion of Girls in Jazz Day in November. You can read about this event and our contribution to the Design Museum's future exhibition of 'Amy: Beyond the stage', about singer Amy Winehouse's life and career.

There is the return of our popular second-hand jazz book sale, which this month we've supplemented with a review of the latest book acquired by the Archive, an inspirational and beautifully illustrated children's book 'Nina - A story of Nina Simone'.

We have news of our recent acquisition of posters, which has coincided with an update to our online information on the works by the renowned artist Eduardo Paolozzi and printmaker Bob Linney. You can also read a summary of our latest articles plus a hint about what's coming next.

We hope you enjoy catching up with our news. If you've got a jazz memory you'd like to share with us, get in touch.  We'd love to hear from you.
