She is backed by her extensive career in curating popular music at the British Library’s sound library, in London’s Kings Cross, where she is Senior Curator, Popular Music Recordings.

Karoline works on significant national exhibitions and archive projects which have included the £20m “Save Our Sounds” programme where she curated the “Unlocking our Sound Heritage” project and the Glastonbury Festival New Artists catalogue.

More recently, Karoline was instrumental in bringing to life the hugely popular “Beyond the Bassline” exhibition and live music showcase of 500 years of Black Music in the UK where she worked with key academic institutions and leading global philanthropic trusts and foundations, including the National Jazz Archive, to gather important background research material.

Working tirelessly collecting and protecting contemporary music recordings, Karoline is keen to steer the National Jazz Archive in the right direction to make our jazz heritage accessible to everyone for research, inspiration, and of course, to enjoy.
