Page 4 looks at Coleman Hawkins's attempt to enter the UK, through the continuing barriers of the Immigration Office, and the Musicians' Union's refusal to allow foreign jazz musicians to play. Page 5 features a history of jazz, looking at the famous 'Congo Square' in New Orleans, with Hector Stewart discussing his views of proto-jazz in the early nineteenth century.
